Restaurant Manager

MANAGE A MICHELIN RECOMMENDED RESTAURANT WITH ANNUAL SALARY, FULL BENEFITS, 401K MATCH, AND PROFIT SHARING PLAN!

We are a family-owned and operated restaurant and catering group based in South San Francisco, looking for a Restaurant Manager to oversee our Eastern Mediterranean restaurant, ensuring excellent service in an efficient and professional manner. 

Responsibilities

Manage dining room, full-service bar with specialty cocktails, and private events with skill and decorum, ensuring excellent service, guest satisfaction and a safe working environment for the team 

Control all day-to-day operations: including overseeing labor, schedules, hiring, ordering supplies and monthly financial reporting

Prepare annual budget and plans including sales goals, profit projections, capital, and staff requirements

Ability to manage multiple private events, sometimes simultaneously, both on-site and off

Manage and oversee the restaurant’s catering department, ensuring 100% customer satisfaction, interacting with corporate clients to meet and exceed their expectations

Follow all catering systems and procedures, maintaining all catering documents in a clean and organized manner, and find ways to improve or streamline our system

Recruit, interview, hire and train restaurant and catering team, conducting performance reviews and taking disciplinary action when needed

Perform accounting duties, controlling profit & loss, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions to optimize revenue and business

Direct restaurant marketing programs and social media

Manage any customer complaints, and respond as needed to online reviews.

Oversee the general upkeep for the restaurant, contracting for general maintenance and any necessary repairs. 

Qualifications

3-5 years restaurant management experience, with catering and special event experience, fine dining experience a plus

Full proficiency in OpenTable, Yelp Reservations, POS systems, and Microsoft/Google Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) required

Diverse wine knowledge, including regions, appellations and vintages

Culinary & central kitchen management skills, a plus

Strong operational skills in a customer service environment

Knowledge of inventory management systems

Experience with vendor negotiations & purchasing

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
